Freshly-Squeezed Lemonade with Berry/Melon Ice Cubes
As the weather warms, we all need a refreshing something to keep us energized and cool. This Freshly-Squeezed Lemonade with Strawberry and Watermelon Ice Cubes drink will do just that, as well as is tasty and 100% nature-filled!All it takes is a jiffy. For the ice cubes, simply chop up small cubes of strawberry and watermelon (other antioxidant fruit will do, too, such as blueberries, raspberries, etc.) and toss them into a water-filled ice cube tray. Allow them to freeze for a couple hours. While the ice is freezing, simply roll a few lemons on a flat surface, cut them in half, and squeeze the juices and pulp into a mason jar. Then add about 12 ounces of water into the jar. *Optional: stir liquid sugar into the mason jar to sweeten the concoction. Then, when the fruity ice is fully hardened, simply add them to your freshly-squeezed lemonade and enjoy!
The metabolic benefits of lemons are phenomenal. They are also high in Vitamin C, B6, A, and E, as well as calcium, copper, iron, zinc, and more. The list goes on! And the more fruit you add into your ice, the more illness-fighting, anti-aging benefits you're going to get. And all in one zappy, zingy drink? Indeed. So what are you waiting for? Cut the sweat and cool off with one of these, today! And do comment below to let me know which fruity combinations you create with your lemonade!
