Cool Off: Antioxidant-Protein Breakfast Bark

Do you enjoy yogurt but occasionally find it too plainly routine just to simply eat it with a spoon? Well, I am proposing a way to mix it up. Antioxidant-Protein Breakfast Bark is essentially frozen yogurt with an array of ingredients elegantly decorated within. I kept it simple by just using fresh strawberries; However, you could choose to throw in a medley of fruits, granola, nuts, and/or chocolate/peanut butter chips if you wish! Cater your topping ingredients to your taste-buds' preferences using the protein-packed yogurt as a base for all toppings.
The preparation process is as quick and easy as anything. Simply pour your favorite flavor of yogurt into a plastic or glass food storage container; *note: pour enough so that there is about an inch of yogurt inside the container. Then, sprinkle your preferred toppings on top while periodically pressing them further into the yogurt. Place this in the freezer (without the lid on top), and break it into sections using your hands or a knife when the yogurt is fully frozen. The freezing process took about a day for my recipe, however it will differ depending on how much yogurt is inside the container; *note: the thicker the yogurt layer is, the longer it will take to fully freeze. Check on it by poking the yogurt with a knife, periodically, inside the freezer. When it has fully frozen, you will know because it will be difficult to push the knife all the way through the yogurt layer.
Yogurt is a wonderful source of protein and fruit provides antioxidants/vitamins for a wonderful start to your day. You have an option of making this in bulk, too! Keep it frozen in the freezer (with the lid on) for storage; this way you will have it available to you whenever you are craving a healthy and beautiful snack. Have fun with your topping combinations, and I look forward to hearing about what you experiment with!
